"Susi M. Gottardi, born in northern Italy, continues today the ancient tradition of magic-alchemical painting which has been a constant, though often hidden, presence in European art over the millennia especially in her chosen city: Prague, Bohemia, the "Threshold" to other dimensions, where she lives and works.
A painter, writer, film director, she has developed her own original method of creation through a personal formula of transfiguration of spiritual forces into idols of energy, with a powerful stroke and a bold freedom of experimentation that works on primordial angles of vision and on the fundamental importance of the subject, with no limits of representation. When delving into the abyss of supernatural painting, few can match her artistry for insight and the sheer "gusto" evoked by the forces of Nature's witchcraft.
These paintings and drawings conceal a form of life in themselves, a magnetism that transforms the thoughts of the viewer into manifested ideas, while we wonder if we are observing the images or if it's rather them who watch inside us from their own dimension, through our eyes, just an instant before leaving the canvas and walking into the room.
The official SMG website is under construction and will feature many of her works, with periodic updates on the production of Susi M. Gottardi's living icons."
